Booklet notes:

For the last few years I have performed as a solo act, but when the chance came to make this record we (Chris and I) wanted to frame the songs a little larger than life. The players here gave these songs that life, and a character beyond my wildest hopes and imagination.
Chris' sure hand and Kevin's engineering realized all of our visions. many and profound thanks to both of them, and the musicians who played with me on this disc.
Thank you also: Jo Brown, Reinhard and the Glitterhouse crew, The Walkabouts, Howard Lev, Ben thompson, Liza Lee Hale, Ed Beeson and the Backstage, and to all my many friends whose love and support make this life possible.
